Fact #5: Working Hard Isn't What Pays Off!
If you are like me, you have been raised by hard-working, hands-on parents, and you
probably heard them saying that one has to work hard for the money.
Most of us have adopted this unconscious belief, without giving it a second thought.
What if I will tell you right now that you don't have to work 40 hours a week to be wealthy?
What if you don't need to sacrifice your health, your personal life or your leisure activities in order to achieve
all the things you want?
What if you can live your life to the fullest, doing what you LOVE to do, not what you should do?
Sounds pretty hard to believe? Or too good to be true?
If you answered "yes" without any hesitation, then those limiting beliefs are very powerful and they are
influencing your quality of life and your well-being.
Good news is that you can change your limiting beliefs and replace them with ones
that work for you.
Let me explain you why you don't have to work hard to achieve maximum results.
You just have to work SMART.
In late 1940s Dr. Joseph M. Juran suggested a Pareto principle (more commonly known as the 80/20 rule). It states
that 80% of value tasks come from 20% of the effort.
It means that only 20% of your activities will account for 80% of your success. The rest 80% of your effort and
time will be WASTED on unimportant tasks that will not generate any significant results.
If this doesn't sound convincing enough think about this. On the average we work 5 days a week. According to Pareto
Principle we get the majority of work done on ONE DAY and during the rest four days we are just adding a little bit
more to the progress that we have already made in the first day.
So, learn to work smarter, not harder. How? The starting point is setting the right goals. To find out how you can easily join the "smarter" crowd, read on...
